Disposal Jammed / Humming
A disposal that hums but doesn't grind has something stuck between the impellers and the grind ring. We safely clear the jam, check the motor for damage, and test the unit. Repeated jamming may indicate the impellers are worn and the unit needs replacement.
Disposal Won't Turn On
A completely dead disposal may have a tripped reset button, a blown fuse, a failed wall switch, or a burned-out motor. We check the electrical circuit first, then test the motor to determine if a repair or replacement is needed.
Disposal Leaking
Leaks from the top flange, side connections, or bottom of the disposal have different causes. Top leaks mean the mounting flange has loosened. Side leaks come from the dishwasher connection or drain pipe. Bottom leaks indicate internal seal failure — usually requiring replacement.
Disposal Smells Bad

You can try the hex wrench method: insert an Allen wrench into the hex socket on the bottom of the disposal and turn it back and forth to free the jam. Press the reset button underneath. If that doesn't work or the jam recurs, call us — forcing a jammed disposal can burn out the motor.
